The Bay Area is known mostly for its amazing food, sports teams and its views. It has everything to offer and much more. With so much to see and do students at Dominican University of California named the top 5 places with the best views.
1) Corona Heights Park is located in the Castro in San Francisco. Looking up at the hilltop, it is not hard to miss with stairs leading up to the bedrock. Once you get to the top, after a light five-minute walk, it is a breath-taking panoramic view of the city. With lots of parking and a fenced park, it is a great place to bring family, friends and dogs. This hidden gem is a must see for Dominican Students looking for something easy going to do on the weekend!
3) Hippie Tree is a hidden gem located in Tiburon. It has a special swing with views that are nothing less than spectacular. Try going on a clear day, early in the morning so everyone can have time to enjoy. Not only are there great views, but it is a great spot to have a picnic, take cool pictures, and on a clear day, there is a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Just a short walk makes it an easy stop to come with family and friends.
4) Point Bonita Lighthouse is about 25 minutes away from Dominican University. Before reaching the lighthouse you have a short walk through a tunnel, which will lead you to a bridge directly to the lighthouse. Not only do you get amazing views of the city, but also you get to learn a little history about the lighthouse. Make sure to stop by between 12:30pm- 3:30pm on Saturday, Sunday and Mondays.
5) On a beautiful day in the city, head over to Baker's Beach. This is a view that tops most. Not only is there a up-close view of the Golden Gate Bridge, but the beach is relaxing and beautiful. A perfect place to bring a picnic or just bring a blanket to lay back and relax. Come during a stressful day, or just a day where people can come with family and friends for a fun outing.
