Research has found that same-sex couples are now able to have their own children from Stem Cells. Researchers at Cambridge University and Israel’s Weizmann Institute of Science are finding progress by pairing stem cell lines from embryos with the skin of different adults. This would result in cells that would resemble aborted fetuses to determine an identical match. It would give gay and lesbian couples the opportunity to procreate and offers an alternate pregnancy path for infertile couples. Same-sex couples are pushing for this research because they want to have a child without having to depend on a donor or eggs from a surrogate. The child would also have the same genes, facial features, and even the same eye color as the couple.
